Honestyby TelehubbieComment: An honest man. Kind of refreshing, isn't it. So's the photo. Very Nice. |

Who's Got The Ball?!?!by phreakonComment: I'm completely stunned that I like this photo; but I do. I suppose the way everyone is looking at the same invisible object creates a powerful interest in the viewer. I also like the really subtle coloration of everything and the crisp focus. Really nice. |

Nash, what?by mpembertonComment: I love the pink car. And I like the subject person standing next to it. Not sure their colors complement each other well. I find the bicycles and the other background items clutter the photo. |

Feeding the Birds at Sunsetby mirdonamyComment: I like the light and the texture in the sand. The composition strikes me as being a little loose. I think the greatest weakness might be the placement of the pink girl smack dab in the center of the photo. Try cropping the left quarter off - just left or just right of those two white gulls; and tell me what you think. |

Allisonby kevrobertsonComment: Nice pose. Sharp focus. I understand it is a high key portrait, but I find the white lighting on the face a little flat and a littel severe. |

Zacharyby Catherine_BComment: I love the fuzzy texture of the cat and its playful expression. The crisp focus helps enormously. And the exposure is right on. I normally like tightly cropped subjects, but this feels just a tad cramped to me. (Cat's in motion, might bump his head against the frame ...! ) It looks like a flash lit the subject and I think the lighting feels a little flat - there is a two dimensional quality to the image of the cat that is unflattering. The flash also cast a strong shadow on the background which kind of looms above the cat in a sort of ominous way. |

Prowlingby snackwellsComment: Two problems 1) the rock is a background or minor element. It could be cloned out and the photo would be essentially the same. 2) the rock is not rock, it's some wierd manmade thing that vaguely resembles rock. so this is a photo which contains as a minor element a material designed to fool us into thinking it is rock. If you've read this you have suffered the full measure of my punishment for not meeting the challenge. It's a nice photo of a tiger. That's not a paper tiger, is it? |

A Small Drink of Waterby secondglantzComment: I am amazed by this photo. At first it struck me as being a sort of a snap shot. But a split second later I noticed the blue eyes, thn theway they echoed the blue in the frock and other subtle blues in the photo. Next I noticed the porecelain quality of the skin and the soft, glowing light. And finally I noticed that all the colors were muted and had a subtle cyan cast. Even the skin had greenish tinges in places. That' s normally a pet peeve but because all of the photo is subtly that color it works. I'm not crazy about the water; but maybe that wasn't optional. Beautiful shot. |
