winter blackby tvsometimeComment: Larger theme than a single image. Start a series before spring arrives. Is that a pair of monkeys, on the right hand side, going about their business? |

More than oneby mitalapoComment: Viewing your cover image is like watching a tennis match. It's a long rally so I turn to the substance of your essay. A delightful series of interactions and relationships that reinforces why I prefer candid street photography. As always, I enjoy your work and insights. Thanks |

Brancusi.1by mariucaComment: Interesting to think about how these sculptures take on a new life every time they are moved. An element, by design, that's out of control of the artist. You found the interaction between your reflection and the sculpture engaging. I'd like to think Brancusi would enjoy seeing the fun you had viewing his work. Thanks for sharing this gallery experience. Very nice! |

Chicagoby mbrutus2009Comment: Great memories to hold onto. You have created a nice mix of holiday, documentary, and street photography. Like you mentioned, when sightseeing, cities blanketed in snow are magical places. Chicago's welcome center should include your essay on their website. I really enjoyed tagging along vicariously. Whenever We Touch Our Heads Together We Fall Backwardsby rooumComment: For some reason my sense of smell comes alive with these images. Without seeing the ocean, heavy sea air fills my lungs. I enjoy these genuine places void of any pretense. Photographs made all the more interesting with your title broken into fragments. |

TIDE-1by rooumComment: Daydreaming through the lens. There is motion in these stills that’s irresistible to the eye. Beautiful collection!
A healthy escape from your wedding photography? I hope you’ll continue taking these excursions from your professional craft. |

01by primabarbaraComment: I enjoyed this collection immensely. For me, this is your most cohesive and compelling photo essay of place. I particularly enjoyed the frost and ice formations blanketing manmade structures. Zugspitze is obviously brutally cold but the natural beauty makes it worth the going.
I found the contrast between your essay and Mariuca’s very interesting. You studied a subject that inspired looking out while Mariuca’s subject encouraged looking in. It’s wonderful to see these differences in subject and style when looking through this months essays.
