Swimming Through Fall Colorsby alanfreedComment: I love that you took something often photographed and made it really unique and compelling. The lighting in the water is mesmurizing (sp?). This image is perfect in so many ways and is a feast for the eyes. 10 |

Mountain Fireby robbiehComment: You have a great eye for a great shot. The colours in this are brilliant to say the least. The saturation levels are pitch perfect. I love the way the subject just pops off the screen as though it's in 3D. The time of day/lighting is perfect for brining out the subject. Well done! 9 |

Pendelton County WVby Crafty SueComment: The colours are very soft in this and it almost looks like the image is out of focus. I fyou have photo shop, you may want to try increasing saturation levels and using the "sharp" or "unsharp" mask tool to make the image pop. Another suggestion - this is a beautiful scenic. However, sometimes adding something just to the right or left of the foreground (a tree, a flower, something like that) can really bring the viewer's eye in - the eye looks at an image in almost a circular way - starting with the main subject (something in the foreground) and then moves out to the rest of the scene. Employing this technique may bring your results up in future challenges. I think what you've tried here is very nice though. |

algae eruptionby byoungComment: Cool shot. Really makes you wonder what just plopped in. The green seems a bit washed out - maybe for time of day. However, I know how hard it is to shoot swampy areas. really great shot - love the composition. 9 |

Selfridges @ Sunriseby crisComment: I love the way the rail line (I thinkt hat's what this is) caught the reflection and added the whole drama to this scene. This photo's beauty is definitely attributed to you - the photographer - and not just a nice scene. It takes a sharp/trained eye to see something like this and shoot it as well as you have. it's beautiful. 10 |
