I had to go into a grocery store to sneak this shot in. I’m not sure when the last time I ate candy was. Not really a preferred diet of mine.

Yes, this is often my photo-taking strategy as well (minus the ribbon-winning part!)

When I was in elementary school my best friend's dad was the northern California importer-distributor for a variety of foreign candy/specialty items -- I was introduced to "good" chocolate by the third grade or so ...

I don't remember the neon colors -- mostly the ones like this I had were a more pastel white and pink, possibly with coconut between the licorice layers.

Congratulations on the yellow.

And - will you eat it now, Anita???
Looks like too much chemical colour additions, doesn't it? But this is perfect for the shot.
Congrats!

No I didn’t eat any, I didn’t even buy them. Took the shot in the grocery store and then bought a few more goods and left.

I think the British people invented it, and because we are brothers to those in England they exported it over.

Just guessing here, but it seems like a very heavy dose of noise reduction was applied on this?
