    Biography: A relative newcomer to the DP world, though I've had a P&S with me pretty much everywhere I've gone. I've always wanted to get into SLR photography, but decided to wait until dSLRs would get a little more affordable. Finally, got my hands on the Rebel XT, and haven't looked at my P&S since.

    I love landscape photography, night shots, long exposures with motion blur, portraits, and rich colors. I've been gifted(or hindered, depending how you look at it) with a logical/analytical mind...artistic--not so much. I am always open to learning new things, however; and I am using DPC as a venue to bring up this new hobby to an acceptable (by my standards) level. Though I am a perfectionist in everything I do, I do expect to fail miserably at first while hoping to learn from my mistakes and the guidance of the great photographers here. Maybe make some friends, too :)
