    Biography: Born in Halifax, NS raised in Fall River, NS. I grew up taking pictures and recording videos when i was very young. I took up digital photography when i was sixteen. I started with a Olympus point and shoot. I took lots of photos with that camera and learned alot. After i graduated from high school i wasnt sure what i wanted to do with my life so i decided to take a year off and work. I worked all summer long at Sobeys. With the money i made working at the local grocery store i decided it was time to buy a better camera. So i went out and bought a Pentax k100d dslr with two kit lenses the 18-55mm and the 50-200mm. After working at Sobeys in the chicken department for a couple months i decided i wanted a change in employment. So i left and started working at Canadian Tire in the automotive department. After awhile i decided on photography becoming my career. I submitted a portfolio and got accepted to the digital photography program at NSCC. Currently i am still working at Canadian Tire part time and now i am going into my second semester at NSCC. I joined this site about a year ago for a month trial. I never entered any contests but now that i know more about my camera and photography i will start competing here. Looking forward to meeting some people and advancing my photography even further.

    Currently i am working on studio lighting and photography at school. This is all new to me and very exciting. I recently became a member of model mayhem. I have already made contacts with models and i am working on setting up photo shoots with them. I have been assigned multiple assignments at school involving studio work. Overall i have been very busy and haven't had much time to be active on this website. I can't wait to get a chance to compete in more challenges.

    Recently I also got my own domain name www.nicholasdion.ca so it will be a priority of mine when i get some free time to work on it.
