    Biography: 677021.jpg

I've only been doing photography since June 2005. When I ventured into the realm of photography, I swore to do it by reading and learning as I go, without taking any classes. DPC has been a prime source of my learning over the last year. With every photo i take I see my photography growing.

In 2007, I learn that a score doesn't mean everything, it's appreciation of your own work. Everyone can find a flaw in any photo without knowing the reason you took the photo the way you did. In 2008, i learned to take pride in what i shoot. I've developed an eye that i didn't even know i had. Most of all I've learned to take chances...not only in my shooting but who/how/when i shoot. 2009, I've learned to really apply the knowledge I've gained, notice alot more in my viewfinder, and edit good photos to make them better. 2009 was probably my biggest year of growth in Photography. My photos of models really shows that. I've also learned to photography non-people subjects alot better and i think my scores reflect that. 2010 will continue to be a year of growth. I want to step out of my comfort zone of entering models shots and enter more non-people photos. 2010 will be the year that I start experimenting and playing with light. So here are my DPC goals for 2010

    1) Experiment more in my photos. Understanding that some people will like the experiment and others won't, but its the only way to find new strengths in my photography.

    2) Ignore the fundamental rules of photography. These rules are the GUIDELINES...and now everyone is learning them. It's those that can see when not to use them that grow and differ from the crowd.

    3) Score a 6.5 in a challenge

    4) Set a Personal Best TWICE!

    5) Score in the top 25% at least 5 times this year.

    6) Score 5.5 in 50% of the challenges I enter

    7) Score a 5 in at least 75% of the challenges I enter.

    8) Score in the Top 50% in 50% of the challenges entered

    9) Enter at least 1 challenge each month to keep my creative juices flowing.

    10) Take a 5.7+ Self Portrait
Signature: Set short term acheivable goals each year, that way every year you are successful.
