    Biography: Just starting out as a photographer. It's been in my heart ever since one of my art classmates inspired me with her photography.

    Other than that, I've been writing since I was 11-years-old. The phenomenon started when I had this dream where I taught my crush how to fly. After recreating the scene on paper, and my brother finding that paper, it became something more of a laughing matter and joke. My best friend, for some deep, psychological reason, began to despise me and I wrote him a hate letter that was found by my 5th grade English teacher, who brought me into a room and sat me down and questioned me with tears in her eyes. I didn't think then that if I could make an older woman cry and an older brother giddy with my writing, I could claim it to be my gift.

    So, at seventeen, out of school, studying philosophy and piano and writing ad infinitum, I have come to a new facet of my being that which could be further polished in the years to follow. Already I'm beginning to learn a few things from photography, technique and philosophy-wise.

    The photos inspire the writing and the writing inspires the photos. A perpetual circle or yin-yang.

    Photography Goals:
    ~ To, overall, learn more about other photographers and their techniques
    ~ To find my voice as a photographer
    ~ To ban fear of street photography

    Site Goals:
    ~ Win a ribbon
    ~ Become a favorite photographer
    (bonus if of my own favorites)
    ~ Reach past 6.0 on average vote (5.0 completed on 9/7/05)

    My voting method:
    Every image starts at 5. It's all gut feeling, but this is what I feel in that hot sticky place anyway.

    +1 if it is pleasing to the eye and doesn't irritate me
    +1 if it exhibits some form of intrigue or makes me feel an emotion
    +1 if the colors and lighting work in harmony
    +1 if it is something I've never seen before
    +1 if it inspires thought and prompts writing

    (negative 1 for vise versa)
