    Biography: I didn’t just decide to become a photographer. It kind of chose me. I have had a camera of one type or another in my hands since I was a pre-teen and I feel lost without one being at my disposal. I have had no formal training, though I would LOVE to go to school one day and really learn all of the ins and outs of photography. When I am behind a camera, I become a totally different person. My camera is like a security blanket to me. I have social anxiety disorder and I have a hard time in social situations, but when I am about to shoot, I become this outgoing, super courageous woman that is really into what she is doing. It’s so strange to know that just having a camera can change my personality so much.



    I love to photograph anything. Whether it catches the eye immediately or not. I love to capture fun times and intimate moments. My favorites though have to be the spontaneous shots that catch people off guard and at their most real. I have a pretty long attention span. I can wait forever to get that perfect picture. My clients on the other hand don’t always have the time, patience or attention span to do the same. I try to take as many high-quality shots in a moderate time period, but I am willing to wait for that excellent shot. I have lost some of the most amazing shots in the past because I was not patient enough, and because of that, I am still holding my camera and waiting long after the shoot is officially over. Sometimes the best shots can happen after we are wrapped up and ready to head off.


    The first picture I took that really made me think I would be able to make it as a photographer was a picture of one of my best friends, up in a tree in the middle of the Stoney Creek Nature Trails. She was looking off into the great unknown and she was wearing my hoodie which was huge one her. It was mainly a close-up on her upper half and I was so impressed with it that I had it blown up. I still have that picture today.


    I am willing to take pictures of just about anything or anyone. My dream job is to be a photographer for live concerts. I was blessed enough to be the official photographer for Emily Rose who was opening up for Amos Lee at the Royal Oak Music Theater in Royal Oak, Michigan. It was there that I got a taste of what concert photography was really like and I was hooked. The adrenaline was amazing, the shots were colorful and full of the most amazing angles that I had ever shot before.


    I am a photographer! I love what I do, I am happy capturing people at their best or at their most real. I love telling a story that doesn’t need a single word to tell it. I love creating art as I know it and showing it to the world. I love helping people capture moments that they want to make live on forever, even after their generations are long past.
