Hello: Konador

I've been into photography since 2002, when I started playing around with my dad's FujiFilm camera for more than just family photos, and I started uploading rubbish "but arty" shots onto deviantArt. Then I found DPC and it literally changed my life. I started improving a lot, and meeting many great people! It came to a time when the automatic nature of the FinePix was limiting my photography, and 3 very good friends from DPC kindly donated me some money to put towards my first proper manual digital camera, a Canon Powershot G2.
I improved a lot with this camera, and it won me my first and second ribbons on DPC. Whilst DPC was originally all I shot for, I then had interest from a local band who I started doing the official photographs and website for. This gave me some "fame" around the small town I live in, which was then increased when I won a national photography competition set up by the BBC and Wellcome Trust. I came 1st place in the adult category (despite being only 16) and my photo was displayed in the Royal Albert Hall in London. My prize was £1000 worth of photography equipment, so naturally I gravitated towards where I am now... the DSLR market.
At the time there was only 1 budget DSLR out, the EOS-300D Rebel, so I bought that and a couple of lenses, and have slowly been expanding my kit bag ever since. I've won 2 ribbons with the 300D, and one with my little Sony DSC-T1 (Which I also won in a national competition, along with a Nokia N-Gage, a Panasonic Portable DVD Player, and an iPod!).
Lately I've finally tried to start making some money from my photography, making a book of local landscape photos which I hope to sell, and offering my services as an environmental pet photographer. I've only just started these, and I'm not exactly rolling in it yet, but watch this space ;)
If you like the look of any of my photos, lots of them are available as prints from here! If the photo you like doesn't have a print available, just e-mail me and I'll see what I can do.
