I recently changed my username to "LalliSig" after 4 years because that is the name I go by on other sites and use professionally, sorry if it confuses anyone but I think you´ll get used to it :)
Welcome to my profile, so you wanna know a little bit about me? I am born on the 28th of December. I am happily married and have two children, Alexander & Monika, who are 6 & 4 years old. All of them frequently model for me but I don´t usually post many of these photos here as I want to keep them to myself.
If I had to lable myself as a specific kind of photographer, it would be a commercial/portrait photographer. I currently work as a freelance photographer and don´t really specialize in anything except shooting people, I also do product and food photography, architecture, you name it. I would never quit taking landscape pictures for myself though, just love being out in nature, taking my time. I do try to be good at everything and regularly delve into sports, concerts, street candids, still life and other types of photography, I don´t want to limit myself to any one thing or style for the fear of becoming stagnant and stuck in a rut.
I have only been serious about photography since the summer of 2003 and I think I have improved vastly since I discovered DPChallenge (October 2004) and I just hit myself on the head for not finding it sooner. My goal isn´t really to win any ribbons anymore, think I have proven myself here already and now I just try to have fun here and send in stuff that I like, I don´t really care how I score anymore. I have learned a lot by participating in challenges and by getting and especially by giving comments. If anybody wants my advice on how to get better real quick, I think the best way is to go vote and comment cause then you really get a sense for what you like and dislike in photography and what you yourself want to do. |
