Biography: Since our A70 purchase in November ’03, I've been taking a lot more shots than I ever did with film. I'm glad to have found DPC (read about it in PC Magazine article about top websites) to learn more about photography. Our Rebel XT arrived in April of 2006.
Since the A70’s performance was deteriorating, we bought a Panasonic Lumix TZ5 in October of 2008. I like that it also shoots 720p video. As of May 2009, I have access to my work's 5D Mark II and lenses: woo-hoo! The Rebel XT wouldn't turn on anymore in July 2009, so we replaced it with a refurbished 50D through Canon's loyalty program.

    Some photo accomplishments:
Two photos on display for a few months in my church's “Gallery” worship venue (end of 2005).
Had a photo accepted into Orlando Magazine’s annual “Paint the Town” issue (Jan ’06 issue), which that year was done in conjunction with the Orlando Museum of Art’s 1st Thursday show, so it was shown there for one night, too.
Another photo (a panoramic) was included in the March 2008 issue of Orlando Magazine, again for the “Paint the Town” issue.
Three of five photos submitted were accepted for the 2009 “Paint the Town” exhibition.
