Like everyone here, I love photography. It's been a few years since I went digital, and I've never looked back. The first contest I entered I won a brand new computer, scanner, printer, and web cam. That convinced me to enter more. Since that time, I've had the good fortune of winning money, prizes, ribbons and awards.
I used to be a private chef, but I gave that up. The thing I loved best about cooking was the liberty I had to be creative. So now I express my artsy side with cameras and computers. It keeps me happy, and in the process I create images that other people enjoy.
I am a former freelance photographer for a regional entertainment magazine, and I've sold some pictures to National Wildlife Federation, a book publisher, a calendar, and at local art shows, and the web. My most recent sale is my Slinky picture "Color My World" to a text book company "Hargrove" It will be on the front cover 500, 000 copies of an 8th grade math book, in 2009.
I've donated use of my pictures to animal protection organizations such as savethemanatee.org, and a horse rescue organization that uses one of my silhouette shots as their logo.
It's important to me to use my talents to better the world. I'm blessed and I like to be a blessing to others. |
