    Biography: My first digital camera, a little Olympus that I received in 2001, turned me from a casual vacation-only point and shooter into a passionate photo enthusiast. I have been fortunate enough to earn a total of well over 1,000 Photo of the Day awards at the various online contest sites, including 7 Kodak POTDs, BOCs at Shutterbugs, DigitalImageCafe and PhotoShowDown and POTY in the Abstract category at PhotoShowDown in 2005. In addition, I have earned several awards in camera club competitions in my home city of Toronto as well as medals, ribbons and acceptances in various regional competitions and international PSA sponsored salons. My current main camera is the Nikon D7000, for which I have 4 lenses: the Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 VR, the Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 VR, the Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 VR macro and the Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 OS. My backup DSLR body is the Nikon D3100. I also own a Fujifilm S200EXR which I use when carrying around a DSLR would simply not be practical.
