We should all be so lucky to follow in the steps of Muir and yours as well, Mark! I love the opalescent lighting in this image! Beautiful work (as always)!

What a beautiful scene, and very nicely captured. Great reflections and texture on the water.

Really like the toning here. Feels like a peaceful evening camping.

Beautiful image with the right amount of mood to it. Makes feel feel at peace.

(Participant so not voting.)

This is an example where slight HDR would have made a vast difference. A beautiful image being hurt by 'black' trees. Even dodging here would have helped if done well.

There is something that separates a landscape from landscapes. This is the former. Lovely. Really nice. 8

Really nice image. I think I would have cropped off a little from the bottom though.

Nice job capturing the yellow light in the sky trees and mountain. Also, great depth and very well composed. My only critique would be the faint cyan line in the sky, but in general I quite like this image.

I love the way the water looks, it's quite alive. THe golden mountains are spectacular as well, bump.

The image is great in the lower half. Not so good above the ridge line. Your sky shows posterization bands. Should be a smooth gradient. The posterization comes from too much jpg compression and possibly overuse of post processing.
