OK I'm crazy for shooting at the circus, but I liked this shot for the Pets and Their People II challenge. Ms. Zambini, the circus owner's daughter loves her white horses, and think they are the most important act in the show. But, though she's trained them to do all the standard circus tricks, there is still obviously an affection between them and her. For all the reasons this shot will probably be voted down - that's why I like it - mostly out of focus, some significant movement in the other horses, uneven lighting. Still, the horses stand and stare at her as if she is a goddess instructing them.
PP: Crop, Topaz Adjust V (some vignette, Grunge Me - BW, and some others), a bit of dodge to tone down / remove bright spots in lower left and bottom edge, levels, sharpen, resize, unsharp mask, save for web. |

| I don't personally approve of the use of animals in a circus (that's what this looks like, my apologies if I'm mistaken) but that aside, the shot isn't very good quality in general; nothing is in clear focus, it's quite noisy, most of the details have been lost through movement and the blown highlights. The motion is a little bit interesting but this is a low-scorer for me, I'm afraid. |
