I probably made a mistake when choosing the title, "Grids Vs Strips 0-1: and the sound of the grass grew farther and stronger" would have been more appropriate perhaps. Even if the image would have been still too weak to convey the meaning.
I went to the zoo, wanting to photograph gorillas. It was a cold day and the zebra were sheltering in the stables, looking unhappy. Two were snapping at each other, but this one, which looked like the alpha male, was keeping to himself, much quieter and still sad looking.
I took a few images, with the zebra or the grid in focus, as light was too low for an aperture narrow enough to have both in focus.
This one looked vaguely to me like the zebra was struggling to hear some faint sound, through the wall and from the outside. I rotated the image slightly trying to enhance that illusion, but still is not too convicing.
I thought that, to a zebra, the sound of savannah grass must feel different from any other sound and certainly remind of freedom. I also wondered whether in general, a very faint and far sound might still be heard at long distance because so different from any other, or if imagining to hear that sound might give some comfort. It would to me.
The image was not too effective conveying that. Any technica remark or other suggestion would be very welcome..

...4.9? I'm shocked. The concept of freedom looses all meaning without the existence of confinement - to me this photo expresses that concept clearly and impactfully conveys the zebras longing for freedom. On top of that it's a great composition with the juxtaposition of the tiles, zebra and cage. I just wish the cage/tiles were aligned with the frame (obviously without re-shooting this is unfortunately not possible in basic editing).

Prison shot. I guess this would be the antithesis of freedom, which is a way to go.

Seems like you are going for the opposite of freedom. An interesting study of lines for sure.
