Young specimen of Amanita sp. (probably A. phalloides emerging from the decaying plant matter of the forest floor. It shows the classic "spot" on the cap, the beginning of the "veil" on the stem, and the prominent still-intact vulva at the base.

This mushroom (and its relatives) will kill you (from total liver failure) if you eat them.
