Wow, a very nice surprise to get a ribbon. I'm amazed at how close it was between this and Janine's shot (which I thought was fantastic.)

Sort of a last minute decision to enter this challenge. I was a bit stumped all week and didn't have any ideas of what to do so on my last chance before the challenge deadline, I took a walk to the cemetery near my place to see what I could get. There were a lot of birds this day and because it was late afternoon, the sun lit them nicely. A lot of people feed these birds so it's pretty easy to get decently close; I was about 8 feet away from this one.

Here's an outtake...I liked this one too but even though there was a nice spiral movement in it, the background seemed too distracting. I'm glad I went with the one I did.

You were robbed, shame everyone needed it so obvious with the spirals, I thought the challenge was golden rule not a visual representation of fib's curve. Great shot love the position and DOF
