Little white fall wildflowers in the woods, full of these beautiful wasps. They were way more interested in the flowers than me, and the 100mm macro kept me back far enough to not be a nuisance to them. We got along just fine.

I think this is a good capture that could have been amazing with just a bit more photoediting. I think it could really use some more contrast. Really cool bug though! 6

Nice macro, good detail but seems underexposed a bit.

Good macro shot of the Wasp/Hornet. Your detail on the body is good, perhaps a tad sharper may help. The placement in the frame and composition is really nice, good use of rule of thirds. I love the diagonal you have created with the branch it is sitting upon.

Perhaps more Depth of field would have given you a sharper body and more detail in the wings. In my opinion for macro, you really want to emphesize the entire insect when doing the macro not just the body.

I am not voting just commenting, Hope you find this helpful.
