This is a shot of my brother with his son before he boarded the plane for Afghanistan this weekend. This was truly candid seeing as he hates posing for photos.

ya I wish i could take back the green tint. it was a last minute decision to add a vintage feel and I'm not at all convinced it's helping. I've taken it off my subsequent edits... hindsight's always 20/20 darnnit.

I think the green tint would be fine if you turned down the saturation a bit. Great idea for a shot.

I don't care much for the greenish tint, but this one is full of emotion. One of the better ones I've seen in the challenge.

technically its a little blah. However, I really like the story of the image. Its just so simple but powerful. Great job.

If this is genuinely candid and not set-up, it's a poignant moment and a very sweet idea. Greens are a tad strong for me, I'd have lowered the saturation a tad.

kind of weird to see the soldier with his gun. I like the people in the background and the "green filter" style feel to the whole shot, which gives a retro- 70's film feel.
