Thanks to all for your votes and your comments. When I shot that picture I was experimenting and I was not going after this shot at all. I wanted some bright colors (even though I did not realized yet neon meant "bright colors" or "fluorescent" because in French, it's only refering to the lamp. I only realized that when voting!!!). I finally thought of those long forgotten light bright pegs that were still in a box and waiting for my child to be old enough to play with. I'm glad it brought back some good memories to some of you!

Who would have ever thought those light bright pegs would EVER have any use other than to puncture your foot at 3:30 am on the way to the bathroom in the dark??? This is beautiful! :o)

This is a great example of making a beautiful shot out of such a simple subject. Really well done and perfect for this challenge.

The crisp lighting, black & white, and neon colors are all in perfect balance to create a very visual piece of art.

very busy. somewhat overexposed. notice how the large areas of whites are all blank? that can't be fixed in photoshop -- expose the shot so there's tone in the highlights then move the midtone around in photoshop.

I had to do a double-take on this - are those light-bright pegs? Wow, haven't thought of those in years, great idea! I wonder if having one "plugged" in would give a stronger subject - on the whole, the composition seems a bit scattered.

Normally in focus/out of focus - it depends on the shot. This is one shot that I must say would have liked to see real sharp and crisp. I think it would have made this photo outstanding.

I don't see the white reflection helping the photograph, it seems to take away from the interesting shapes in the picture.
