Thank you for all the great comments and votes! It's obviously not an artful submission, but I hope I amused some of you with it :-)

Quite a last minute entry in fact: I took the photos in an hour, and processed all of them in 2 more hours. Quite a fast process compared to my habits, but the week was a bit busy, no choice!

Since I did not find any great idea, I just went with the classical "tie a tie" tutorial, but gave it some humor flavor (everyone knows how to tie a tie anyway, right? ;)) I decided how muchmany photos I wanted, how they would arrange in the global composition, and set the lights up according to that. I'm glad I was alone when I took the photos, it's not easy to look stupid in front of others... especially when I fell on the floor (which did happen several times when shooting #2 and #3).

The lights settings were straightforward:
- Softbox from upper left
- Reflector from the right
- Bowl + red gel on a black background

Thanks all again!

Why bother with a Tie when the shirt needs an Iron? ;)

LOL only kidding this is masterful work - I hadn't seen it until today.

This wasn't real??? I assumed that this was how you usually tied your tie... :P

Congrats on the blue!

I love thinking about you falling over while taking the shots, though. It was such a funny though. :)

so, step 3 is to flip upside-down and step 4 is to tip your hat? this is pretty funny when you think about it.

Another great image, another ribbon. Even though you have told us how you go about getting your inspiration and your thought processes, I doubt there will be many who can emulate you and be a challenge for your ribbon collection.

Ok, Christophe, at this point you need to up your game and post some videos of you in action creating these masterpieces. I'd pay to watch. Only a dollar, but still...

Congrats again!

Too perfect: you have great color- the background design element of shapes and red on black is flawless, the scenes you pick are whimsical and creepy, in a Willy Wonka sort of children's book creepy, and it all works.

The brown belt and the out of focus hand in step 2 still don't distract away from another fantastic entry.

I love how you made the background gradient lined up according to the overall composition. It's a nice, subtle effect that adds a lot. Again gyaban, you are the master of that background gradient!
Nice series. :)
