that's sort of my guess as well. glasses fixed, thicker than water liquid, and a quick drop and shift of the mirror.

anyway - congrats, i like it.

I really don't like to play with photoshop, however you have created a very sharp image that imagination can play with and thats what its all about, nice and subtle changes.

Awesome image. I like the use of Bourgogne et Bordeaux blancs glasses for this shot, perfect slope for the splash effect. The concept of using primary colours then blending to create the secondaries, very clever.

As a note: Were I live we have all colours of wine depending on the fruit used and what the particular winery thought was cute.

Looks like Jello.

William this is great. In this kind of images you're probably the best one here. But I must say these are not wine glasses.
09/26/2011 06:59:59 AM
Pretty image....another eye candy ribbon shot!
09/26/2011 05:18:56 AM
Excellent image that IMHO didn't meet the challenge (not wine glasses as i know them - would say Grappa). Congrats anyway.
09/26/2011 03:06:18 AM
Immaculately presented as usual. There could only be one winner and this was always it. Congrats!.

Quite extraordinary, William. For all those whining about no wine, the challenge description did say wine glasses.

Congrats on your blue! I'm going to guess william88 and I hope you include at least a hint of how this was done. (Jello?)

Where's Art's stamp??? I actually feel the lighting is a bit off on the background and the brightest part of the gradient should be moved higher up the image instead of behind the glass stems.

Has to be Karen, thats why I don't enter these challenges, because it's just tooo hard to win, when you have PRO's like you, who know exactly what to do. 10 - has to ribbon.

Wow! I can't figure out how in the world you achieved this!! Amazing!
Love the lighting, the seamless background, the colors, the crispness, the improbability of it all. Very well done.

I can't even begin to imagine how you achieved this. One could argue that wine glass shots are done to death, but not like this. A straight 10 for sheer awesomeness. And to put that in perspective, it is at least 10,000 votes since I gave out a 10.

Hmm, I keep coming back to this one, I love taking pictures in hopes that the viewer will think "How the heck did they do that?"; This picture did that for me. I think I know, but I will PM you after and check...9

Sweet, not a clue how you accomplished this. This has the feel of KarenNfld image, if not, take it as a compliment.

Great entry for colors, or rainbow, but the lack of any wine in the image makes it tough to give it the score that the creativity and technical prowess deserves.
09/19/2011 08:00:53 PM
This is... AMAZING! Blue. (not voting)

09/19/2011 11:54:12 AM
Not my favorite but this should do well here.Very well produced.
09/19/2011 11:41:20 AM
OK that's just insanely well choreographed and photographed. In all respects. I look forward to your ribbon.
Coming back to this I think you will get the purists complaining that they have never seen orange, green or blue wine and that this makes the image a DMC. Personally I don't think it's such a big issue, where I come from you get Orange Wine made from surprise, surprise; oranges and I am sure you get Kiwi Fruit wine and Blueberry wine somewhere in this world :)
I'm guessing William88? (Some may mistake it for a Gyaban.)

Orange, yellow, green and blue wine, how unusual!! ;)

I'd like to know what kind of glue you used on the bottom of the glasses. I've used poster putty in the past but am always afraid it won't hold well enough to try this.
09/19/2011 04:04:33 AM
amazing!!
09/19/2011 01:51:22 AM
I have no idea how this shot is done very effective..
