Photographer’s Notes
So I’m in Las Vegas for Photoshop World and I found two evenings and one day to “shoot the strip.” It’s full of interesting people and full of interesting buildings. It’s a target rich environment if there ever was one.

When I woke up Saturday it was cloudy and the skies were the white softbox kind of sky we see in Seattle but around 3:00 it cleared and I hit the streets.

I shot a lot of subjects and these days I almost always bracket my exposures. That buys me some exposure insurance and lets me composite HDR images if I want to. So in this case I was shooting 7 frames 2/3 of an f/stop apart. Overkill, probably but this is what I do when I shoot real estate and it’s become a habit. And in this case I did the HDR thing to manage the challenging exposure.

The wall is part of the Luxor Hotel/Casino at the south end of the strip.

This looks even better tha what I can remember when you first showed it. Great score and a better image than what the score reflects. Another boost for the Long Shots.. Working hard Doc :)

Holy heck. This would have likely ribboned in the flare challenge. And I certainly hope it does as well here. Awesome photo.
