the sun is playing a minor role in this one, it's in the frame so it meets the challenge, and it's different from what I've seen so far. As a picture it's not that appealing to me although it's a beautiful cat.

That's quite a literal challenge interpretation you took there! Nicely framed sun! You did well to front light the cat and expose for the window! You should be a real estate photographer!
