| There are a LOT of elements that make a well felt mood. The browns in the wall,papers,clothes and face really tie the picture together well. I love how you melted the hair,book and shirt into the shadows to focus attention on the notes. The face skin texture is absolutely heaven perfection. The hint of hand motion breaks up the static elements ( this is very, very good!).I like the worn edge on the textbook and the triangle of elbow that repeats the other triangle elements. | Very nice photo. Great lighting. Not sure what he is scratching in the notebook maybe drawing something from the text book or just being tired and letting his mind flow. I did that a lot. |

| The more I look at this picutre the more I like it. I like the soft lighting and the colors. I only wish that whatever you are writing didn't look so much like scribbling. |

| my friend's gf used to work at rainforest cafe. we would get freebies. i liked the coconut chicken. the subtle lighting on this image works well. |

great lighting here.... not sure I like the angle though.... something like this with just the hand or the student with his head in his hands might be nice too :o)
lol shows what I know.. looks like ya won the photo of the day at the other DPC, congratz! guess I will raise your score :o)
if the contest was over I would give ya a congratz in the forums... but I am sure some wanker will bitch about it... good job! |

| Nicely done. My only critique is that I'd like to see more of that light on the book instead of just having one corner brightly lit. It would make a nicer gradient on the wall, too. Small potatoes. Well done! |

Nice Job little buddy. I like your style. You set this up nicely and the lighting was very good. Keep at it. This is a great portrait. Soft Lighting and you look like you are really concentrating. :-)
