This view is from the top of our bush block, the village is in the fog below. The yellow color are the wattles that have just burst into full blooms, and the early morning sunshine on our big stringy bark tree. There is a poem with this title by Henry Lawson but it is about cutting down trees to build houses so not very appropriate these days.
Not likely to score high as it is likely to be a feast for trolls! Annoying ambiguity, Mr Bear and Mrs Supanova! ;)

I don't mind low scores on this. This is indeed Home Sweet Home.

You've developed a niche, Margaret!

I thought this foggy scene had your touch to it. Wasn't sure enough to leave a guess, however.

Beautiful shot (Margaret?). I love that you are above the fog like that.
I feel that this is a horizontal shot with a vertical point of interest - that the shot itself needs to be horizontal - rather than being of a vertical subject. Never mind, it doesn't matter that much to me because there are many ways to interpret this theme and I think my own entry relies on arbitrary presentation.

Beautiful photo. I am not sure how it fits with the challenge though. To my liking, there also is a bit too much sky - trimming it down so that the sky portion is only about 1/3 of the frame works better visually, for me. The sky has a few slightly blown areas that (what I assume is) the HDR treatment doesn't hide. The fog areas are fantastic. ~7

Lovely photo but it's a landscape shot in horizontal view so I don't really think it meets the challenge. Sorry.

This could go either way, since the lines of the hills and clouds are all horizontal as well. I like how the single tree is poking its head up and above, as if to see what the others cannot. Maybe he's the sentinel and reports back to the forest. LOL Quite a lovely image.

This is wonderful. Gorgeous. It'll do well, and perhaps ribbon again.

The truth is, and please don't take this the wrong way, that I'm sort of getting bored of these foggy landscape shots. I like to think of dpchallenge as a platform for challenging you to discover and explore new techniques, processing, composition (although I do like this composition) and making people like it. Is there a challenge in taking these shots that you know will be appreciated? I don't know. But seeing how well they're doing for you I'd say you could try to challenge yourself a bit more! :-)
Perhaps I'm being unfair. I think I am, actually. Still though, I wrote it so I'm not getting rid of it! :-)

With all that said, still you get an 8 for this.
