Door of old church on State Street in Montpelier, VT. Having reality not quite symmetric (e.g.: the flower pots at different distances from the center of the door and the steps not level) increased the difficulty.

First challenge entry in months due to distraction of getting new job and, therefore, moving from Utah to Vermont. Still unpacking, but feels good to be finding essentials and returning to more normal activities.

Lot's of layers and textures in the scene. So much detail! It's delightful. Would've loved it even more if you'd shot it standing a little bit left so that the 2 handrails seems balanced.

Very inviting. Love the wood grain color in contrast to the gray stone.

2 thumbs up with all details, natural colors and the title makes this image thoughtful 9.

Beautiful architecture and I love the color of the door contrast with the stone... Just a bit more to the right and the handrails would look identical though...

the centered composition doesn't work for me, the details on the door look nice and maybe a closer view to bring those out would be another nice shot

If you had framed or cropped this a bit more cautiously, and corrected the distortion I would have totally given this an 8...

I like the very temporary plants against the timeless nature of the structure. Nice attention to detail.
