 we had an ice storm the other day. took this on the way to work. umbrella in one hand, camera in the other, feet stuck in wet snow ... the things we do ...

i don't think the photo is perfect, i would've liked a more evenly toned background and no twig in the background but that just wasn't possible at the time.

i expect there will be several icestorm entries, and i probably won't even beat the one that was submitted for this week's free study, but somehow i like my shot anyway. :)

Interesting composition, vivid colours. These icy photos are so alien to me down here in the southern hemisphere! I like this one, nice DOF.

Judging from some of the entries, someone must have gotten quite a nasty ice storm last week! :) I like this a lot -- the berries almost look like little eyeballs.

Nice shot. I like the use of DOF here, and the focus and clarity are really good. The color is perfect. Definately looks untouched by man. Angle and framing/cropping are really great as well. One of my favorites this week. Great way to blurr the background. Nothing is distracting from the subject. Good luck in the challenge.

Freezing rain makes for very cool photo subjects, but hard on the plants. I like this view very much. The droplet coming off the berry creates some nice reflections. 9 Swash

Nice shot, I like the layout, and the size of the picture, though it feels a little cramped. a slightly wider crop might have been better.
