On the 4th of July, I borrowed a friend's Nikon Coolpix 8700, which has a fireworks mode. I took 180 pictures and wasn't sure what any of them would look like, but when I downloaded them, I was just amazed at how cool they turned out. I just decided to make some of my favorites into a montage for my dad, who was watching the fireworks with me.

Agreed. What I would have done is put a 1-2 pixel white border around each separate photo.

With those 12 shots you could have the makings of a nice calendar, perhaps with this montage as the front or back cover, or as the top half of a single-pager with this on top and the calendar on the lower half. A 12 x 18 print is only about $4 and would be a good size for a small office wall calendar.

I'd personally get overly clever, with tiny fireworks pics on the holidays and such, but it can be done quite simply also : )
