I really wasn't intending to enter this challenge at all, but was sitting down on my couch after a long day at work, so I figured I may as well think of something productive, so brain stormed about cutlery, and thought of this.
I'd've liked to have had more going on in this, dancing and juggling and stuff, but I'm not Gyaban! :-)

Setup...
The knife and fork that are being balanced were hanging from the leg of my table (was rotated to the side). It was relatively dark so I bounced my speedlite off the ceiling to illuminate the scene. An outtake pointed the flash directly at the knives, but that resulted in hot spots so I reshot.

Processing...
Topaz detail (saturated variation of "black and white contrast" preset).
Topaz adjust.
Topaz denoise.
Lightroom. Global adjustments.
Photoshop clone. Contrast. Vignettes. I did some processing on the blade of the serrated knife because it was quite dark.
Silver efex pro.
Lightroom and exported TIFFs of the colour and silver efex'd version. Photoshop and merged the two with colour mode (black and white as base). Modified opacity of colour layer to about 70-80% and bumped up saturation. Merge. Select background, gaussian blur. Some colour tweaking of the background too. Save.
Lightroom clarity global, export.

I've no idea how this will do. I'd love it to go over a 6.

--after--
So close to six. Oh well. Above average so I can't complain too much.

Ha! Good stuff!
I may or may not be voting, so please do not equate my comment with any score.
