I really like this one. Plus, your name is spelled just like mine. I have never seen another Alecia.
Great minds (or names) must think alike. :)

Good job.

Good simple composition with nice shapes and strong colour.
It doesn't seem quite straight, and there's a bit of stray shadow in the top right, but I still like this a lot.

Moving colors. I like the blue streak across the glass. Makes for a great break in the color. - Inspzil

Wow, the frame color matches the "stripe" in the martini exactly! This is a cool shot.

I'm not a big abstract fan, but this is well done. Great color. I think I would like it even better without the little bits of yellow.

love the colors. the only thing that bothers me is the dark shadow on the bottom right.

My only comment about this is an observation really more than it is a complaint. The class seems to not be perfectly even within the frame. That's not a bad thing at all, doesn't matter much to me. just seems at the very top to be more to the left than to the right. Also, another observation is that the black lines that go down the stem make the glass look like it's leaning, when it in fact isn't. (that I can tell) Focus and clarity are great. Colors are wonderful! I think that's what draws my attention to the photo the most is the color. Nice shot. Good luck in the challenge.

Wow! Great color, very nice set up. Really minor things in the glass/water that seem somehow out of place, but still it's not enough to harm a really cool view. How about a 9? Swash

This is a really nice abstract. The colors complement each other well. The only thing I dont like is the two yellow dots on the glass, just having blues and reds would have made it a little better.

Nice, interesting abstract. Coloring combines warm and cool tones creating a juxtaposition of sorts. The composition is excellent. Good work!

Hmm, yes, very abstract, but to the extent that there aren't any main focal points :o/ However, the lines of the glass against the background are good, leading down from the upper corners into the centre., and the colours are very rich and vibrant.

One final thing - the border isn't very even, with the righthand side being wider than the lefthand, and it looks like a filter of some sort was applied after the border was created, as there is a noticable ghosting of it into the main image. Also, since the main background of the image is blue, perhaps a black border would help make it stand out a bit more.

This shot gives me a strong sense of movement from the curves and waves. I love the colors althougth the yellow spots and white glare are a bit distracting. The rim of the glass is not equal on both sides at the top of the picture and seems to get sucked out the left side a bit. Perhaps cropping a bit more off the right to equal that out would help. Just an idea. I like the shot very much overall = 8

Definitely my favorite shot from the week. I do have two criticisms -- 1) I wish the stem of the glass were straight... the whole thing is tilted to the left and is off-balance in the shot. 2) I'm not crazy about the border, especially where the blue bleeds into the image. I know 2-color borders aren't currently allowed by the rules, but slap a 1 pixel white or black border on the inside of your blue border, straighten up the glass a little, and I promise to buy a print of this one when we offer the service. I love the colors and shapes and light and mood of the shot too much to let my criticisms lower the score -- 10!

Very nice colors and composition. The only thing I would try to improve on are the white reflections at thte top of the stem. These are a little distracting. A very nice shot overall. Good job!

Beautiful colors. I can't decide if I want to see more of the glass or not. I'm bumping you to a 7 anyway. :-)

Very, very beautiful colors. Unique subject. I like the blue and red together and the yellow color that is maybe from the light source. Good framing and focus.

Great colours and effect. I'd like to see the stem more vertical, but it's a great shot nonetheless. Jacko.

Only thing holding back this from being my highest rating is the jpeg artifacts around the stem and border. I really love the lighting and color.

What an excellent composition! The colour, the softly flowing yet sharp lines, the tonality of red, and the striking yellow; beautiful. Personally, I like this image particularry for what it isn't, and as I don't know wether you would be oftended by it or not by my impression, I will keep that to myself. Exceptional, a 10!
