I like how it looks like the sandwich is about to float off the plate lol. My only critique would be about the lighting. It seems like it is coming in strong from the right. I think maybe something softer plus add some light behind it.

My mouth is salivating! I find myself wanting more details. Maybe getting in closer would help that.

I don't mind the burnt bits. I noticed the softness right away, and also a less-than-desirable bun that reminds me of a fast food restaurant bun. The slaw seems to have lost quite a bit of color as well. I feel the color correction in this one tends to be a little on on the warm side. Would a more natural background do the food more justice? -- wooden picnic table, BBQ grill, sauce condiments containers?

Second what Kelli says about the burnt bits, even though it is bbq'd and charring is part of the whole shebang. PMing you too.

I'd get rid of the bits that looks a little on the burned side. Either clone them out or reshoot. If I'm seeing a food shot, it should make me want to eat it as is, not want to pick pieces off first. LOL! You said be brutal! Actually, unless my eyes are off tonight (and sometimes they really are), this looks a bit on the oof (or maybe the focus is on the sesame seeds on the bun?) side too. Maybe run it through topaz infocus?
