 I know it's going to be one of 100 stock photos, but this is an area I don't do too often so I thought it would be a good learning experience. I made pyramids, dropped bottles, did almost 10 different setups, and finished off by attempting to make a absolut rocket ship blasting off into space(which would have been awesome if I only owned two flashes). Finally after looking through all the pics and lighting I choose this setup and did a lot of minor editing to achieve this. Not expected too much because there might be a lot like this and the words "absolut vodka" look a little weird, but dreaming for above a 6 too keep my recent streak up.

Hi Alex, welcome to the Critique Zone!

I think that you are beating yourself up unnecessarily in the photographers comments. This is a really nice shot. Clinical, to be sure, but that's also the nature of Vodka so why not? You seem to be developing a somewhat minimalist, clean style and I, for one, quite like it.

There's really not a lot to critique - you have nailed the technicals from where I'm sitting. The lighting and 'tone' is spot on and whatever PP you have done works well. If I was being picky, the limitations are in the reflections in the bottle (a doorframe on the left and something dark on the right), and in being able to see the edge of the table - but that is really nitpicking - I'm not sure if the rules would allow you to make the table edge shadow disappear but it would be risky.

Overall, a really nice take on the challenge.

Nice concept, execution and lighting.

2 minor details keep it from perfect:
1. There's a slight slant in the pic. The right inverted bottle is chopped off a little bit at the top, whereas the left inverted bottle is intact.
2. The dark reflection on the right most bottle is distracting.

The title of your image throws me off, however I like the picture itself. It was creative to include more than one bottle. The lighting is a bit harsh, especially since some areas are very light, and some dark (bottle caps) but the contrast it gives works to give the image a bit of a pop!
