You must live in Oregon. Blackberry season here. I like this. I like the white background. The berry looks natural. I can almost taste it :) Makes me want to head to the river with my bucket.

awesome shot. composition, lighting, colors--it all works for me. this is absolutely a killer image...good luck, i hope you score well!

without the splash, the shot would just fall in the mix of the average shots. the splash makes it more interesting than most shots in the challenge.

I like it but I would probably like it more if the background wasn't so starkly white and withut feature. It looks like it was shot with a single light over your right sholder. Perhaps a second light to the left or, left and slightly behind, would have increased visible detail on the left of the berry ... which seems to blend together a bit.
