 A 26-year-old Appaloosa mare named Willie, who seems to enjoy having her photo taken while she's eating!

Thanks everyone for the great comments and the faves, esp the 2 I got during voting :-)

To quickly answer some Willie (short for Wildfire) questions...though she is an Appaloosa and not a member of the Canadian Horse breed (yes there is such a thing) she was born, bred and raised in Canada. The 'eh'? part was more for alliteration than anything else :-)

As for the focus on the nose... well I was shooting her from below, and horses have long angular heads, so not too terribly surprised that her nose is a little soft from that angle. (and horses' noses are nice and velvety soft anyway ;-)

Just glad that I got the crucial areas in focus, especially the hay.

it's a Canadian horse? nice hairy texture and sharpness right between the eyes, a bit too soft focus on the nose.

well composed, almost perfectly focused. the gray area bottom left bothers me a bit, but that's a minor flaw in "minimal"
