I delayed presenting my photos for some time. I wanted to learn not only to photograph what I see but tell a story or evoke an emotion with my photos. I also need to compensate for some physical hindrances so the photos exceed what I see so the viewer can interpret the image on their own terms. Right now I am working on composition. I didn't do any editing beyond resizing this image, it is what I saw as I waited to see some friends from the past, (ergo the title). it is not a RAW image but I couldn't think how to edit it without removing the raw sentiment I get from it. I am interested in feedback so I improve. I want to move on the other camera but I think I need to get the composition right first.

so much like a lazy Renoir or Pissarro; the only thing to improve on this shot would be golden burned out grasses as a backdrop- but it needs no improving; great job!

More color/contrast would've helped this picture majorly!

Nice composition and perspective; looks a little flat on my screen; maybe up the brightness just a touch.

It's a pretty scene but a little ordinary. Try evening light or cropping out the boring sky. Watch your horizon line.
