Many years of drought in my area caused the local dam to start to dry up and the water level was low enough for many carvings to be inscribed on the sandstone edges. After receiving decent rain the water level has risen, just not quite far enough to cover ALL of the carvings. This one is located right near the edge of the lake, which is what the area on the right of the picture is - the Lake's Edge.

I assure you, regardless of whether this picture CAN be taken at that time, IT WASN'T. As for the subject matter, read the info.

While I love the texturing and the lighting in this, I'm a bit confused by the area at the far right of the image. I'll be interested to see the photographer's comments on what this is.

Nice find and lovely colours. It must be an optical illusion but the engraving almost looks raised. Good luck.
