So it looks like your image suffered from a similar problem to mine. As you said, 'happy sunshine in garden image' appears to be the key to this challenge. Actually the first time I glanced at this I thought it was a fly sitting on someone's leg in a plaster cast... maybe some others didn't look a little closer before voting =). It's a nice image though, the petal has a great texture to it and the dof is just right, much better than a number of the images that scored better.

| I think you got hit for not being obviously in a field or garden -- I think it's a gorgeous shot, and I don't understand the score at all. :( |

| Very nice lighting to bring out the texture of the lilly and good DOF. But the focus here seems to be too much on the insect, which is too small and dark to show much detail on its own. |

| I guess for me the composition of this just isn't doing the trick for me...personally I'd rather see alot more "flower" and your BG in this makes this appear to be an indoor/studio shot...might not be...but it does do that |
