Shot during the spring of 2004, this sequence documents Venus' simultaneous growth in angular size and decrease on phase as it approaches inferior conjunction with Earth. This particular inferior conjunction (June 8 2004) was also the first transit of Venus since 1882.

Shot with my Coolpix 4500, Scopetronix 14mm WA eyepiece, Celestron C8 telescope. Images post-processed in Keith's Image Stacker and assembled in Photoshop. Each Venus image is a composite of up to 100 individual shots. This composite took two months of calendar time to shoot, and many hours of post-processing to prepare each frame and then assemble the composite in Photoshop.

This is very, very cool. Would make a great poster, too. I really like the gentle arc you used as your arrangement.
