My goodness Daniel this is outstanding. I agree with rayg544
on how could anyone give this a 1. It's a 10 in my eyes.

Excellent Job!!! This is one of the reasons I'm not sure about becoming a member of this site. How could ONE person give this shot a 1, never mind FIVE people!! I know "to each their own", but there's no way ANYONE should have given this wonderful shot a 1!!!!

For those who requested info: This is my "Cabaret" version of Blue Moon, hence the stage lighting and fake moon. I am sorry to those who expected the classic mood shot. I opted for the cabaret interpretation. I love the lighting produced by stage lights and I knew the prejudice against using the fake moon...but that is who I am, sorry.

The moon is a lamp. The background was muslin stretched and sprayed black and sand thrown on wet paint for gritty texture. Lit with bounced strobe off shinny blue material. Second strobe near ground bounced off light purple material. Moon was light with black light. basically a self portrait.

Stunning! One of the three tens I've given in this contest. I think I would have liked it better with a regular moon though. Great job!

Just a tad too purple, it shows the chromatic noise too much. Otherwise excellent! 7

I like the shot but I think the moon spoils the mood.

Wow, only the second picture I've seen and I'm already sure we have a winner, or at least a top ten. This is gorgeous. The cute moon is a great little touch. Is it some kind of painting? Too bad his upper back is just slightly cut off :-( . Still, this is a 10.
