My intent was to use a long exposure to capture the beast's out-of-focus breathing. Probably should have passed on the texture, it did more to hide my intention than enhance it. I submitted it anyway.

An image that requires periodic revisiting. Or maybe I should just get my own cat...

A fine idea for fine art. Texture - maybe it's obscuring, but I don't suffer from looking at it - I think it suits, weathered but strong.

What's wrong with us? We are asked for fine art and both of us send in pictures of our pets.

This was one that spoke to me immediately. But then I knew it was yours. Interesting effect of the popped nails on the very sedate 3 cat breaths, though possibly they might have been 3 pointy breaths. Speaking of nails, I wonder what you have lined up for Easter.

Thanks Michelle... just one cat. I exposed for 7 seconds (3 cat breaths) on the cat, and then rotated the tripod upwards and exposed for another 7 seconds on the barn stall.

Ridiculously, effortlessly well done. Inspirational execution of a lovely concept. I stayed with you the full three breaths and it worked beautifully. Thank you. It's my equal top pick (of two) in the challenge. 10.

I love the texture and light and it's had me staring at it all week long looking for clues of recognizable parts and never seeing any but seeing so much more instead.

I love this image, but is the processing legal? I'll give you a 7 for the great feel of it.

Dark and disorienting. And fur -- imagine that! Anyone who dreams like this must know pointandshoot.

This is the first image I've come across where I feel it is "art". I have no idea how to explain why, but there you have it. Glorious and engaging, full of textures and tones (and a cat). I have no idea how you did this, with the textures overlapping the subject - and pray it isn't an overlay!!!! A fave. Just gorgeous.

I can't find any words for how this makes me feel, for I love kitties & I haven't got one right now. This comp is so full of emotion for me. Thanks.

Hmm... Not sure I'm connecting this shot to its title, but I really like it regardless. Perhaps its the fact that I can't connect it and that it leaves me wondering, is what keeps me intrigued. Truthfully, I don't want to know what it is, its the mystique that really sets it off for me. Emotion and intrigue are great examples of Fine Art 8
