A wire arrached to spoon with tape. used clarinet reed with some shaping to make surf board. Match attached with nail polish and same used to color the surf board. Help spoon under faucet experimenting until the 47th try gave me this image. The wire showed on all others, but I knew one combination of wire adjustment or spoon placing or water pressure would yield a winner.

I agree with should of used a clear spoon, but faucet makes the picture. It's sink surfing, gotta have part of the sink in it!

The spoon gives it away. The faucet is distracting as well.

Wow...wow Daniel. You are on a roll. I am very happy for you. But you deserve this absolutely. Such great imagination and wonderful execution. Your shots are unpreditable. This one seems to be a work of a late 20 early 30 photographer. So cool concept!

CONGRATULATIONS.

Excellent! I love the colours and background. The action is stopped nicely and it's a great scene overall.

Only thing I'd change myself is that I'd move around the faucet a bit to get some distance between it and the surfer, and reduce DOF to concentrate on getting only the surfer in focus.. but then you might lose the effect of the leading line, not to mention drown your camera :D

Straight 10. Congrats on ribbon.

This is really nice. Seems like half the people got the miniature part but forgot that it also had to be an interesting photo. Here a clever idea is also a well executed image that tells a funny story. Here is what like: focus, movement both of water and implied movement of the surfer, colors muted blue contrasts with the colorful surfer, thirds, leading lines are esp nice: Since the faucet is the first visual draw, the image reads from right to left which is a more dynamic direction. so, the faucet leads in, the water lines lead left, the angle of the surfer leads back into the image indead of continuring the line out. As soon as the voters eye is lead off the page his brain thinks "Done, next please". If you can draw the quick viewer back in he'll take another look and appresicate your picture more.

This just appeals because it's so quirky. I like the black of the tap against the black of the matchstick man and the motion of the water too. 8

Very creative! I think the inclusion of the faucet is a good thing and a bad thing. On the plus side, it emphasizes the miniature aspect of the photo. On the negative side, it's not exactly visually appealing. Nevertheless, I gave the image a 7.
