How sweet! I know mice and rats are considered vermin, but I have always thought them cute. Too bad the ads below your photo on the DPC is for exterminators.....

Many thanks to all the DPC community.
In our small garden here in Breda, Holland, my wife and I are blessed with a very active wild life.
We have many different birds, 2 or 3 mice families, in summer a toad und his offsprings and unfortunately also a nuisance mole.
But back to the mice. They are extremely cute and fortunately the do not come into the house. When they have babies (we expect it will happen soon) then they are too many of them, I have developed a perfect “relocation” system. I catch them alive, with no harm done, and bring them to the nearest forest.
They eat happily from our bird feeder and you can be as close as 1 meter. We will not harm them and they got to trust us.
So making this photo was rather easy. They almost seem to pose and watch what I was doing. That I got two of them at the same time was a bonus.
This would also work well with the next challenge, “focal point”, but I guess it is too soon to have a similar photo again.

In most entries I was looking for more "urban," but here the stone is enough. Such a good photo.

I see this one as the Blue ribbon winner. While it does not really show that is is urban, it is a great shot.

Excellent fine and capture. The stones over their nest tie it well into the challenge

They look to me more like the country mice. The city ones are NOT cute.

They look ready to party... There's urban... and Nature... so it works well for this challenge. 7

Love the perspective. Great exposure, and the soft focus around the edges works well; however, I do not feel that this photo meets the requirements of the challenge at hand. There is no "urban" setting here.

This is really neat. They almost look fake, because they're actually facing the camera. Usually when you see a mouse it's running from you. The foliage framing the shot is also a great touch.

Blue ribbon. Great capture. I had the same idea, but didn't have the rodents. Even then, to capture two critters is an amazing accomplishment.
