I originally thought I could get a great shot of a peacock looking straight at me to use for the half challenge. Ya, right. These darn birds don't stay still and would never look me in the straight in eye. I am sure I looked like the papparazzi trying to get the peacock to look at me.

I went with the vertical 'widescreen' to show off the flow of the feathers (thus plume). Plus, it is a composition rarely seen to highlight the beauty of this bird

For those who missed the point:

- Plume is defined as:
*a large, long, or conspicuous feather
* a vertically or longitudinally moving, rising, or expanding fluid body

Vertical border presentation is meant to take on the aspect of widescreen to accent the plume. Composition and crop was intentional to call attention to beauty, colors, and textures.

Fantastic crop on this! Peacocks are hard work. LOL! I've spent many times at the zoo chasing them all over trying to get a decent shot.

Great perspective. Border works to fill the frame, so I get it. Nice colors and depth. Good stuff.

First thing i feel the boarder is too large i would have narrowed it down and i would have done a full frame boarder i feel its taken some of the image away i think its been too over processed i think if you had toned it down a bit in the colors it would have been alot better nice filling the frame with the peacock or peasant..Good attempt
