Last day of voting and i'm sitting with a 6.6
this is one of the most enjoyable challenges i've participated in, i liked the idea of not being able to crop or rotate.
No adjustments were made to the photo, picture control was set to monochrome.

I shot this the day before and of course had the old dilemma about which one to choose:

Good choice. I think the sign on the building and the two guys passing add a lot by creating a kind of mystery. Do they know each other? What kind of a place is La Diner de Vigeur? Are either, or both, going in? Probably neither is associated, and the place is just an ordinary restaurant - but the deatails stop the viewer, at least for a moment. Both are great shots.

I prefer this one to the alternative, purely because of the people going in opposite directions, and that their heads were slightly inclined towards each other. Gives a sense of realism towards it.
However... I preferred the perspective of the other. A happy in-between would be excellent :)
I hit this with an 8.

Could this BE any more classic????? I don't think so. Unfair advantage of quaint, narrow, antique streets.
