 I left for work early this morning with this street light in mind. I like the blue in the sign/sky and the white of the reflection in the windows/snow/graffiti with the bit of green from the pole. Overall I am pretty happy with how this one turned out. The camera was hand held and I used a flash mounted on the camera -- I probably should have used a tripod. There is some stuff going on in the sky that I do not know how I could have avoided or fixed.

In terms of editing, I just straightened, adjusted levels and saturation, and reduced noise.

Hooray for the top 20 finish. I appreciate the comments. Some commented on the processing, but I did very little because I have little idea what I am doing. This is just the 5th challenge I have entered and so it is about the 5th picture I have tried to seriously process. So much to learn. After submitting this I figured out how to save images in the submission size that are much more crisp. Damn. This might have done a little better had I known earlier. Oh well, happy with the finish (it helps make up for my abysmal rubber duck finish).

What a mood. The lamp does nothing to cut through the gloomy, bleak atmosphere. It shines anyway. Superb.

intresting but i would use a more intense compotition, the lighting on the building is great
