I'm really surprised this didn't finish in the top ten. Congratulations on your Posthumous!

Glad I came back to view again. Thanks to the post-comment by posthumous I now understand this image better and thus appreciate it more.

the title demonstrates that you understand the poetry of your own photo. This is the fragmentation of a memory, or a desire to have a memory, or a memory fractured by desire.

Stunning photo. I love the cracks and stains on the mirror and the perfectly placed reflection. I'm not positive about the black and white rectangles in the background, it does add another dimension, but it feels like it contradicts the foreground. Doesn't matter, it's still incredible.

Very nice idea. I think it would be stronger if you had offset it a bit. Reflection obviously remains the same, but give a bit more detail in the wood and this starts to get really, really interesting, and gains a mood: For me. But that's me. Mostly it's the mirror smack dab in the frame. it's too unsubtle to bring out the beautiful subtle qualities you have in this photo.

I really like the photo, but I find the top 1/4 distracting. If it were either just the black or just the white, it wouldn't be as much of an issue. there's so much to look at in the cracked mirror, the reflection, the grain of the table, that the black and white adds one layer too much.
