 This is an outtake of the Contre-jour III challenge that I liked and wanted to share. It’s a Golden Orb spider that is usually very common around here this time of year. However, during my walk through the bush I came across only this one relatively small specimen. A personal observation is when there is a large population of Garden Orbs (the ones that make their web at night) there are few Golden Orbs. And there is a healthy population of the Garden Orbs here at present.

This is not the sort of shot I expect to get a high score for but I’m rather looking forward to getting some nice comments from those this may touch artistically. However, once again I will try and predict the score and I believe this is a 5.1xxx in a FS. Also, this is the first time I was the first to enter a FS and this will also be the first time I haven't changed from my original entry.

Just an unusual fact - this image got the least amount of votes (135) out of all the entries. Hmmm... first in and least interesting. Perhaps there's a lesson there :-)
